A cyclic synthetic heptapeptide analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (CAS 121062-08-6) that is markedly shorter and more potent than Melanotan I. Non-selectively agonizes the MC1, MC3, MC4, and MC5 receptors — the MC4 activity mediates pro-erectile and libido-modulating effects that led to the development of bremelanotide (PT-141) as a selective analog. Not approved for human use; black-market self-injection carries documented risks of irregular pigmentation, nausea, and priapism.
