Agonizes the ghrelin/GHS-R1a receptor and the CD36 scavenger receptor, with GH-releasing potency greater than GHRP-2 or GHRP-6. Evaluated in Phase 2 for growth hormone deficiency and, separately, for myocardial protection in heart failure — the CD36 arm confers cardioprotective activity independent of the GH axis.
